PJâs Coffee to open a third Huntsville area location
PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans is continuing its Alabama expansion, opening its third location in the Huntsville metro area.
The franchise plans to open a 2,499-square-foot stand-alone building with a drive-thru at 1801 U.S. 72 East near Chase Industrial Park. No tentative date for the opening was announced.
In 2021, the company announced plans to open a total of 28 additional coffeehouses across Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Mississippi over the following three years.
PJ’s Coffee began in 1978 in New Orleans and offers a beverage and food menu, including seasonal flavors and beignets.
Cooper Smith with SRS Real Estate Partners’ Birmingham office represented the landlord, HN Capital, and Ashley Farrel with NAI Chase Commercial and Colin Cannon with ResoluteRE represented the tenant, PJ’s Coffee, in the transaction.
“PJ’s Coffee is a great addition to the Highway 72 East corridor, which is currently lacking a true coffee drive-thru,” Smith, vice president with SRS, said. “The daytime population of Chase Industrial Park and new residential/multi-family developments have helped spur the growth of retail in this corridor. I appreciate Ashley and Colin’s help in bringing the taste of New Orleans to our site.”
